My name is Mary , but you can call me Shiko, a 28-year-old kenyan currently in paris. I'm actively looking for a live-in nanny position in France. I would love the opportunity to experience this beautiful life's journey being part of your family, looking after your little angels, I can cook healthy meals for them as well as caring for your household. As i continue to immerse in the french language and culture, I also happily share my culture and language with your family.
I'm a calm, college, curious, independent, happy soul with extensive experience in childcare as a babysitter, full-time nanny and Aupair. I'm fluent English, Swahili, kikuyu languages and basic french. During my free time I like to explore the beauty of my surroundings, engage in my hobbies as well as hangout with friends.
A little about my experience with kids:
I've worked for the 2024 summer period in paris 10arr looking after 2&5yrs old brothers. As an Aupair In Montigny-le-Bretonneux I looked after 3ans and 18month old boys, I also worked as a 2023summer Aupair in Normandy, Strasbourg looked after a 4year old boy and his 3year old sister, before that i was looking after a 4 year old boy in puteaux Paris where I also studied French A1, and two kids 3yrs and 1yr old in the countryside(Geyssans) of France to help them learn the English language.
I've worked as a babysitter since 2014, where my task was mostly picking up the kids from school and helping them with their homework as we wait for the parents and other other occasions to cook dinner or lunch.One of my favourite experiences is taking care of my sister's youngest son(Leon) since he was 2 months old till he was 3 and now he's 5 years old. My tasks were feeding, enjoying some sun, bathing him, morning walks for fresh air, training him how to sit on his own and walk, the best part is when he said his first words and the fact that he says my name better than I did at his age, Dropp off/pick up from daycare, playing sports like soccer and running(lot's of running), cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner) , laundry, helping Daniel( now 18years old , have helped look after him since he was 5years old) with his homework, playing soccer, trips to the mall, museum and also making sure he's well behaved but most importantly making sure the house is clean and safe for the boys. When my other sister visited with her sons, I also made sure they got to experience the best of their grandparents' place and quality time with their cousins and me.And now my expérience in France has been amazing working with kids helping in their daily routine, learning the french language, and exploring France while meeting new people along the way.I'm able to handle infants, toddlers, and teenagers, both boys and girls.
