Dear Family,

Hi! My name is Micaela . I am a 24 years old (female) Argentine citizen. I currently live in France.
I come from a big family of 10 members: My parents, Pablo (57 years old) and Carolina (56 years old) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I have 2 (two) sisters and 5 (five) brothers. My youngest sisters Catalina (20 years old) and Lara (18 years old), my eldest brothers Juan Cruz and Sebastian, (who are fraternal twins) are 31 years old, Joaquín (28 years old), Nicolás (25 years old) and Agustín (22 years old). We are a big, close-knit family!

My first language is, of course, Spanish, and I am also fluent in English. I started learning English since I can remember thanks to my mother, and it was also the language of instruction in the primary and secondary school I attended in Buenos Aires.

So, in order to really be at ease in English, I feel that a cultural immersion would do me a lot of good. Through my language teachers, I have learnt a lot about different countries and their language, the culture and their type of life. Hence my desire to have first hand experience of English life. I am particularly interested in experiencing family life in any part of Europe, since it offers a cultural context that is undoubtedly different from mine. For this reason, I would very much like to find a nice family to live with and work for.

In relationship to child care experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. I really like to organized for/with them and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities: we sang, danced, played games, role played, drew, painted, and narrated stories.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to, and reading a good book. I also enjoy writing on dull or rainy days.

As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family, that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 12 months. I would also prefer looking after children aged between 6 months to 8 years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend to different courses.

I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you: to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences; to learn more about your family; your interests and to know more about what you expect from the au pair arrangement.
