My name is Rebecca (Becky), I am 28 years old,.
I have 2 brothers one of who is aged 30 and has 3 lovely children (aged between 2 and 7) who I love looking after and spending time with.
Whilst living at home with my parents, my role within the family was to help and support my mother with the household choirs of ironing, cleaning, cooking etc and when my brother was of a younger age, looking after him and helping with his homework.
When I left school I continued to study Business Administration at college for a further year before finding a full time job within a law firm. I continued to work within the law firm, before deciding to work abroad for a Greek family run business in Corfu.
This involved leaving all my friends and family for 6 months a year and I did this for 2 years. Whilst working in Corfu, I often looked after the children of the Greek family or of the families who were on holiday. They varied with ages from 2 upwards, I would keep them entertained by doing activities with them, drawing, reading, mini quizzes. The work in Corfu consisted of being focused and working long hours often with the tendency of changes at last minute, due to the business and sometimes lack of staff. I needed to ensure that everyone was attended to and to put my jobs in order of priority. This was quite a challenging job, one of which I learnt a lot from.I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you: to answer any questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences; to learn more about your family; your interests and to know more about what you expect from the arrangement.
