Hi, my name is Cady, i am 35 years old from the UK and a native English Speaker but i now live in Spain. I left the United Kingdom and my previous job as a Children's Social Worker in December 2019 after 6 years to travel and i spent 6 months travelling in Spain and then moved to Berlin which is where i developed my interests in floristry, vintage homewares and fashion and in sewing and design. I also have a keen interest in design and interior decoration as well.

Upon leaving Berlin at the end of 2019, i arrived back in Spain in February 2020 and moved to Alicante City with my husband and two dogs. We intend to make Spain our home and are in the very last stages of our residency application and we have purchased an apartment . I am in the process of learning Spanish and have a tutor. I am still in the early stages but i am a committed learner. Unfortunately due to the pandemic my ability to learn Spanish has been slightly hindered.

Between October 2012 – 2018 i worked as a social worker for a Local Authority in the Children's Team

As a social worker in the UK i engaged with children from infants to teenagers every day in some form. One of my main roles was to ensure their safety and wellbeing while also building positive relationships with them. 2009- 2012
Prior to being a social worker i worked as Deputy Team Manager of a children's residential home where i was responsible for looking after 9 female children aged 9-18. Here we would do activities with girls such as take them camping, swimming, to the cinema, arts and crafts, baking, days at the beach. I am kind, caring and fair. I enjoy working with children and encouraging them to do well. I enjoy spending time with children doing things that they like as well as arts and crafts, baking and going on outings with children. I am careful, committed and responsible.

I am hoping to find a job where i am able to look after children for a few hours a week to help the children along with their English and in return they can help me improve my Spanish.

I have access to a car. I have a full driving licence.
I do not have any children of my own.
I am able to offer a few hours care for a few days a week.
