Hi, my name is Tricia and I am a Registered childminder working from home in the Llansamlet area of Swansea. My business name is 'Little Poppets'. I have been childminding for 8 years and before that worked for MYM running welsh medium playgroups and Ti a fi groups for 8 years.

The emphasis at Little Poppets is learning through play, we go on outings daily to toddler groups, parks, nature walks, library, indoor soft play; I also have a wide range of toys, books, games and arts and craft supplies at home to suit a wide range of ages and abilities. I have experience of caring for children with additional needs.

I hold Level 3 childcare qualification plus Home-based introduction to childcare level 3, and welsh for nursery workers qualification.

I am registered with CSSIW and a member of PACEY (which includes public liability insurance).

I hold current Paediatric first aid certificate and Food hygiene level 2 and regularly attend courses on play and childrens development.

I have four children of my own, they are all adults now, two of them still live at home. I brought them up as a single parent and so have particular empathy with other single parents looking for childcare.
